REMINDER: SAS EuroBonus Worldwide Status Match Now Live (Limited Time Only!)

SAS EuroBonus launched last week a worldwide status match offer, this time for elite members of most Star Alliance, Oneworld, and other significant airlines, and those who submitted their applications at launch have started to see their status upgraded.

Elite members of the airlines below can match their tier to Silver, Gold, or Diamond for a fee from €39 to €349. This status match offer only runs for a limited time and can be withdrawn at any time.

The good thing about this match is that your status is valid for close to two years, as it runs through the end of your current EuroBonus membership year plus another 12 months.

Also, if you match to Diamond and fail to requalify, SAS typically offers a soft landing, meaning your tier becomes Gold, which is still a SkyTeam Elite Plus tier.

There’s no cheaper way to get up to 24 months of SAS Diamond status (SkyTeam Elite Plus) than this offer.

If you plan to fly with SAS or any SkyTeam member airline and don’t have status with the alliance, there is no downside to signing up for this limited time match and you can easily recover the price paid on one or two trips.

Do I have to be an SAS EuroBonus member to participate in the status match promotion?

An SAS EuroBonus membership number is required to participate in the promotion. You can enroll in the SAS EuroBonus programme here.

Do I receive all the benefits of the SAS EuroBonus tier that I match into?

Members receive all benefits except for the member giveaway card, and the year doesn’t count towards lifetime Gold and Diamond.

New status will be valid for the remainder of the current qualification period and next qualification period.

After that period, your level will be reviewed and renewed if EuroBonus standard requalification are met. Qualification criteria can be found here.

I hold elite status with another airline not listed – can I still participate in the promotion?

No. Only elite status members of the eligible airlines can participate.

Can I apply if I already hold SAS EuroBonus status?

A status match cannot be used to extend a tier you currently hold. This applies whether you earned the tier by flying or through a previous status match. If SAS finds that you already hold the tier you applied for, your status match will not be completed.

Which countries are not eligible?

Residents of China, Brazil and Argentina are not eligible for this status match.

How long is the status match offer valid for?

The status match offer may end at any time at the discretion of SAS EuroBonus and StatusMatch.com

What information must I provide to participate in the status match promotion?

To participate in the promotion, you need your SAS EuroBonus membership number, your eligible airline frequent flyer status card number, and a valid e-mail address at which we can reach you.

These specific SAS EuroBonus Status Match terms and conditions apply in addition to the general StatusMatch.com Terms of Service.

• The offer on this Status Match portal is applicable to elite status holders of the eligible airlines listed here. SkyTeam member airlines, Singapore Airlines, TAP Air Portugal and Etihad are not eligible.

• The status match offer is available to selected residents holding elite status with an eligible airline. Applicants may be asked to provide identity documents.

• All status match requests are handled by and are the responsibility of StatusMatch.com and not by SAS or any of its affiliates.
• In addition to other eligibility requirements, a status match will only be granted to applicant’s whose name matches the records in the EuroBonus program.
• With the participation in the campaign, participants acknowledge that the data submitted to Statusmatch.com will be shared with SAS and Loyalty Status Co sub-processors for verification purposes.
• Only elite status holders of eligible airlines who pay the relevant fee, and are approved will receive the matched status.
• The Status Match offer is limited in number of matches and timeframe at the sole discretion of StatusMatch.com and SAS. It may end at any time.
• The awarded SAS status may be suspended, revoked or terminated by SAS in accordance with the EuroBonus program terms and conditions.
• SAS reserves the right to deny the status match approval for members who have violated the EuroBonus program terms and conditions in the past. While most upgrades are processed rapidly, SAS may take up to 10 business days after approval by StatusMatch.com before the upgraded tier is visible in the member’s EuroBonus account.
• In the event of a transaction dispute, the EuroBonus account used for the transaction will have the elite status suspended immediately without warning.
