IHG yesterday launched an Ambassador renewal promotion (read more here), and there is a second version of it called “Join Ambassador, Stay Two Nights, Earn 10k Bonus Points”.
Select or all (unclear) IHG One Rewards members who sign up for the paid Ambassador program either using cash ($225) or points (45K) can get 10,000 bonus points if they stay two nights by December 31, 2026.

Note that the two nights must be paid, and awards and Points & Cash stays/nights are NOT considered qualifying for the purpose of this bonus points offer.
Remember that you get (or have so far received) 15,000 bonus points when RENEWING Ambassador membership for cash, and this fall there is also 10,000 bonus points for staying 2 nights.

The Ambassador benefits are solid, but IHG should really extend them to other luxury brands, not just InterContinentals.
However, you can easily recoup the purchase price with the confirmed 4 PM check-out and the 2-4-1 free weekend-night voucher.

*To participate in the “Join Ambassador, Stay Two Nights, Earn 10k Bonus Points” offer (the “Offer”), an individual must first enroll in the InterContinental® Ambassador program during the period of 18 October 2026 through 31 December 2026 and then complete two qualifying nights at participating IHG hotels on nights falling on or before 31 December 2026 to be awarded 10,000 IHG One Rewards Bonus Points. This offer is not applicable for Royal Ambassador member and is not valid for InterContinental® Ambassador membership enrolments or renewals obtained on a complimentary basis or using the IHG Employee discount.
To qualify for the 10,000 Bonus Points, each of the two nights must be part of one or more Qualifying Stays. A Qualifying Stay is defined as a minimum 1-night stay booked under a Qualifying Rates (as defined in the IHG One Rewards Membership Terms and Conditions), with total spend exceeding $30 USD (or local equivalent) per night. Only one Room per member per Qualifying Stay will be eligible. If more than one member checks into the same Room, only one member is eligible to claim the night for purposes of the Offer. No retroactive credit will be awarded for stays prior to this Offer or prior to enrolment into the InterContinental® Ambassador program. The “Ambassador Complimentary Weekend Night” rate is a Qualifying Rates, and, notwithstanding the per-night minimum spend requirement, the complimentary night may be counted towards the two nights needed to qualify for the additional 10,000 Bonus Points.
This Offer can only be redeemed once when first joining the Ambassador program, and a maximum of 10,000 IHG One Rewards points can be achieved for enrolments based on payment of USD 225 or redeeming 45,000 points. Please allow up to six (6) weeks for Bonus Points to be posted to the recipient’s IHG One Rewards Account.
The Offer is subject to the standard IHG One Rewards Membership Terms and Conditions and earning structure, which can be obtained here . The Bonus Points awarded through this Offer are not Elite Status qualifying. IHG may withdraw points from a member’s Account if they were deposited into the member’s Account in error and may revoke all points in a member’s Account if the Member abuses the IHG One Rewards Program, including but not limited to abuse of the point redemption process. **The Complimentary Weekend Night is valid on the second night of a paid stay on the “Ambassador Complimentary Weekend Night Rate” and is subject to the standard rules and restrictions as outlined here . Identification and member number must be presented upon Check-in. The member must have an un-redeemed and valid Complimentary Weekend Night available within their IHG One Rewards Account. Weekend is defined to include Friday, Saturday and Sunday, except in the Middle East where hotels may define the weekend as Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Advance reservations are required and when joining the Ambassador program in hotel, the weekend night cannot be redeemed for the current stay. Only one Complimentary Weekend Night may be used per stay. A member may have only one open reservation at a time linked to a Complimentary Weekend Night certificate or Complimentary Weekend Night rate. If a member has multiple reservations linked to a Complimentary Weekend Night, IHG or the hotel with the multiple reservations may cancel the bookings.
